SKU: Any LAN enabled Atlona product
Issue: Unable to access the web interface of an Atlona device on a specific browser or a computer.
Troubleshooting:
- Try another browser on the computer to rule out and caching issues on the first browser used
- If another browser does not work, please try another computer (on the same network as the Atlona unit) to see if this is able to establish a communication.
- If neither PC works, please try pinging the IP address of the Atlona device to see if you get the proper responses back. If the Atlona device is on the same network as the PC, pinging the IP address of the Atlona should report back activity. If the PC and the Atlona are not on the same network, you will not see any ping activity:
Good Ping = PC can communicate with something on the IP address being pinged (note the <1ms response time): 
Bad Ping = PC cannot communicate with something on the IP address being pinged (note that the “Destination host unreachable”): 
Bad Ping = PC cannot communicate with something on the IP address being pinged (note that 4 packets were sent but none were received)
If you don’t have the ability to ping the IP address of the Atlona unit, please confirm that you are on the correct network (some switches can be split into multiple networks, therefore a physical connection to a switch that another device is connected to does not mean both units are on the same network).
If you are able to ping the Atlona device, try removing its LAN cable and pinging again. If you find that you no longer have connectivity, its safe to assume there are no other devices on the network with the same IP address. If you find that removing the LAN cable from the Atlona unit and pinging its IP address still allows the PC to reach it, there might be another device on your network with the same IP address. If so, you will either need to remove that device, change its IP info or set the Atlona unit to a Static IP address.
Please note, web filtering and anti-virus programs can cause communication errors. Please see this article for temporarily disabling web filtering.
Solution: If using an anti-virus with web filtering (or a feature like it), turn this off. Web filters screen websites to determine if they should be viable to the user and some web filters may misinterpret the Atlona’s web-gui.
