Subject: How to Set Static IP on a Windows 10 PC
To set a static IP address on a Windows 10 PC, follow the steps below:
- Locate and right click on your computer's Network icon (your icon may vary)
- Select “Open Network & Internet settings”
- Select “Change adapter options”
- Find the adaptor that you wish to change (for this example I will be changing “Ethernet”)
- Right click and select “Properties”
- Double click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)"
- If your computer is set to “Obtain an IP address Automatically” please select “Use the following IP address” and fill in the IP address, Subnet mask, and Gateway addresses desired (no need to worry about DNS):
