Q: Can the SW-510W be installed into an existing AV installation? Will it work with existing HDBaseT receivers?
A: Absolutely. An existing AV switcher can be replaced with the SW-510W to add wireless presentation capability, as well as 4K source and display compatibility and many other new features, such as a welcome screen for guest presenters. As a matrix switcher, it can also be used to upgrade legacy video conferencing rooms.
The SW-510W is compatible with Atlona HDBaseT receivers, and may work with other HDBaseT receivers already installed in the system. However, it will not be able to provide powering for them. The recommendation is to add an AT-PS-POE power injector for Atlona and other PoE-compatible receivers, or to replace with the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSE.
