Below is an explanation of the expected outcome of using various settings on the HD570

  • Switch on the 570 is set to Bitstream. If the signal coming in is an uncompressed format (Dolby Tru-HD or DTS HD-Master)
    • HDMI- Will output Dolby Tru-HD or DTS HD-Master.
    • Optical- Will output no signal.
    • Analog Audio- Will usually output static.
  • Switch on the 570 is set to Bitstream. If the signal coming in is Dolby Digital or DTS.
    • HDMI- Will output Dolby Digital or DTS.
    • Optical- Will output Dolby Digital or DTS.
    • Analog Audio- Will output no audio.
  • Switch on the 570 is set to 5.1 PCM.
    • HDMI- Will output 5.1 PCM.
    • Optical- Will either not output anything or will output 2 channels of PCM ( Left and Right ) and be missing the other channels.
    • Analog Audio- Will output all channels of analog audio.
  • Switch on 570 set to 2ch PCM.
    • HDMI- Will output 2ch PCM.
    • Optical- Will output 2ch PCM.
    • Will output 2ch analog audio.
