KB01370 - How to pass a command through the AT-HDVS-200-TX(-WP) to a compatible HDBaseT receiver (such as the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSK)

SKU: AT-HDVS-200-TX-WP, AT-HDVS-200-TX used with any AT-UHD-EX series (or any other compatible HDBaseT receiver)

Subject: How to pass a command through the AT-HDVS-200-TX-WP/HDVS-200-TX to a compatible HDBaseT receiver (such as the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSK)

Explanation: The AT-HDVS-200-TX-WP (and the AT-HDVS-200-TX) have the ability to pass RS232 to a compatible HDBaseT receiver on their HDBaseT output. To pass a command through the extenders:

  1. Encapsulate your command in the HDVS-200-TX-WP/TX’s zone command of “RS232zone[]” therefore, I want to send an RS232 command to my projector located at the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-PSK receiver, I would send the command as “RS232zone[projectors ON/OFF command] + carriage return.
  2. The default baudrate for communication with the HDVS-200-TX-WP/TX is: 115200, Data bit: 8, Stop bit: 1, Parity: None.

For help troubleshooting RS232 communication on the HDVS-200-TX or HDVS-200-TX-WP please see this article.
