KB01116 - AT-UHD-PRO3 IR for volume not working in certain zones

SKU’s: AT-UHD-PRO3-66M with 1.6.03 firmware (aka packet 13)

Issue:

HDBaseT outputs 3 and 4 do not receive volume +/- IR signals correctly when using the supplied Atlona IR remote with and the AT-IR-CS-RX Receiver.

EX Signal Flow: AT-UHD-PRO3-66M Matrixà CAT Cableà Atlona HDBaseT Receiverà AT-IR-CS-RX IR Receiver à Atlona Remote sending IR to the IR Receiver

Troubleshooting:

Check that the IR receiver is flashing to confirm it’s getting IR commands. Check if other zones have this issue (other zones should work fine). Check that your sound system is properly connected for analog outputs 3 and 4.

Solution: Please download the latest firmware for the UHD-PRO3 (Version 14 – UI version 1.6.04 or greater) All firmware after 1.6.03 will have this resolved.

As a workaround, please note that volume can also be changed via RS232 or telnet using the following commands:

“VOUTX +” ~~~ i.e. VOUT2 + ~~~ Feedback will be VOUT2 (-70) where “(-70)” represents that the outputs volume has now changed -70 decibels

“VOUTX -” ~~~ i.e. VOUT2 - ~~~ Feedback will be VOUT2 (-71) where “(-71)” represents that output 2’s volume has now changed to -71 decibels

“VOUTX (YY)” ~~~ i.e. VOUT2 (0) ~~~ Feedback will be VOUT2 (0) where “(0)” represents that output 2 is now at 0 decibels.

Please note, these commands require the use of a carriage return following each string.
