Subject: When using the HDVS-300 with an HDVS-CAM, video appears to be blocky
If you are seeing that video being sent from the HDVS-CAM appears to be "blocky" (showing blocks of color in the video stream) this is something that has been observed by Atlona. The following screenshots document what the symptoms appear as:
The root cause of this issue is the USB A connector being loose on the HDVS-300-RX side. Therefore, the USB pins do not make full contact with the HDVS-CAM's USB port, causing distortion or loss of video.
To correct these symptoms, please readjust the USB A connector on the HDVS-300-RX. Then, please power cycle the HDVS-300-CAM and wait until a signal is established. If you notice the blocking is still persisting, please attempt to readjust the cable a bit more as well as trying another cable (if possible). You may also want to use a cable guide to help ensure the USB cable is not accidentally snagged/pulled causing a fault in the connection.
