Subject: With aspect ratio set to “input” (pass through) Sending 24Hz video into the HDVS-200 system causes the output video to appear in 60Hz
Troubleshooting:
- Confirm that more than one source have this issue at the aforementioned refresh rate
- Check that scaling on the TV is turned off
Solution:
TV’s and projectors with a feature called “Frame Interpolation” or a feature like it can cause this issue as they are further altering the image being sent to them. Frame interpolation is a feature that “smooths fast moving video by comparing consecutive frames and inserting an intermediate frame between them”. This can result in video being sent to the TV (from other devices such as the AT-HDVS-200 system) to be incorrectly shown as the frame interpolation adds additional frames into the signal.
If you are experiencing issues with refresh rates being incorrectly shown, please check if your TV has Frame Interpolation or a feature like it and turn it off.
