KB01146 - What is best practice for OmniStream cabling?

SKU: OmniStream

Subject: What is best practice for OmniStream cabling?

Q: What is best practice for OmniStream cabling?

A: Since OmniStream operates on standard gigabit networks, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, or CAT7 cables are all acceptable. There is no need to use proprietary cabling or a specific infrastructure. In addition, because OmniStream encoders packetize the video signals, it is unnecessary to use a specific grade cable for each resolution.
