KB01056 - How to Change UHD-HDVS-300 Host Switching

The default setting for USB Host switching on the AT-UHD-HDVS-300-KIT is to follow the active video input. Below are instructions for how to change USB host switching:

Note: Follow video input will select the corresponding USB Host:

  1. USB Host 1 will follow HDMI 1 (Input 1)
  2. USB Host 2 will follow HDMI 2, VGA, and DisplayPort (Inputs 2, 3, and 4)
  3. USB Host 3 will follow HDMI RX (Input 5)

Switching between the (3) USB hosts can also be done via TCP/IP commands, AMS, or the WebGUI.

To manually switch between the (3) USB Hosts via TCP/IP:

  1. Connect to the AT-UHD-HDVS-300-KIT via Telnet. (Please see this article for reference)
  2. Send the USBHost command to switch from USB Host 1-3, or to set the unit to Follow the active Video Input

To switch between the (3) USB Hosts via AMS: 

 

To switch between the (3) USB Hosts via AMS:

  1. After adding the device to your AMS server: (Please see this article for reference)
  2. Select your device from the Global Domain View

  3. Navigate to the “Settings” Page

  4. Under “USB Host”, set “Follow Video Input” to “Off” and select the USB Host Port you would like to activate

 

To manually switch between the (3) USB Hosts via the WebGUI:

  1. Connect to the AT-UHD-HDVS-300-KIT via the WebGUI (Please see this article for reference)
  2. Navigate to the “Settings” Page

  3. Under “USB Host”, uncheck “Follow video input” and select the USB Host port that you would like to activate
