Compatibility issue between Samsung UHD TV’s with all Atlona’s HDBaseT Switchers and Extenders
Dear Valued Customers:
We would like to inform you that recently we have received reported cases from the fields that all Atlona HDBaseT Switchers and Extenders when used in conjunction with Samsung TVs may not be able to display video.
Samsung TVs that are affected and reported so far as followed:
- Samsung HU7000 Series
- Samsung HU8550 Series
- Samsung H8000 Series
- Samsung HU9000 Series
At present, we are able to replicate the issue with consistency but have yet to come to a resolution for the issue. We are working tirelessly with HDBaseT experts for the fix.
There are three possible recommended workarounds:
- Check your TV's model number to see if Samsung has released any firmware updates. These have been seen to resolve issues.
- Connect to the MHL input (usually port3), this has been the most consistent fix (please try bypassing the OneConnect or Evolution boxes and connect directly to a TV)
- Use an AT-HDDA-2 or AT-UHD-Sync in between any non-MHL input and the HDBaseT receiver.
